Privacy Policy
Effective May 21, 2026
PoolSense is a product of Aura Bionics Inc., a Canadian corporation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We aim for the shortest privacy policy that still does the job.
What we collect
- Pool images (test strips and pool water photos) you scan in the app
- Anonymous user identifiers used for subscription management (no sign-in required, no account, no email)
- Subscription status (Premium tier and expiry) via RevenueCat
- Email content you send to us if you contact our support address (Customer Support)
What we never collect
- No sign-in. We do not collect your name, email, or phone number
- No precise GPS coordinates
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA). No cross-app or cross-site tracking
- No analytics tied to your identity. We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers
How we use images
- Test strip and pool water images are processed on device first when possible
- When AI assistance is needed, the image is sent securely to OpenAI for analysis and is not retained by OpenAI for training
- Pool water images are auto-deleted from our storage after 30 days
- Test strip images may be kept up to 90 days for confidence calibration (anonymized)
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are managed by Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive subscription status via RevenueCat. We do not see your payment details.
